Our opportunity

We are looking for an experience Practice Assistant / Legal Secretary to work in a new and exciting dual role across our Technology, Media and Communications practice group as well as our Marketing and Client Services team. You will have a strong work ethic, and take pride in your work and have a solution focused and 'can do' approach. You will have strong team work skills and be able to work autonomously. 

You will be supporting two senior members of the Marketing and Client services team as well as top calibre legal operatives, from graduates to partners. We are in it together, we are passionate about what we do, we are inclusive, supportive and ambitious and are driven by excellence. 

You will hit the ground running with previous secretarial or practice assistant experience and will be rewarded with a close knit team and a rewarding career.  You will be ambitious, resilient and passionate about a career at our firm.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Extensive diary management and organising of meetings involving multiple stakeholders – and the ability to anticipate/see ahead to impacts and changes required;
  • Proactively planning ahead to ensure all necessary information and materials are provided;
  • Coordinate meeting agendas, actions and preparation of logistics for internal and external meetings;
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Provision of practice management services to a portfolio of internal clients, including senior membership team leaders and lawyers;
  • Preparing and amending corporate documents and legal correspondence;
  • Data entry;
  • E-Billing and client reporting;
  • Travel and expense management;
  • Management of meetings and telephone conference calls in an effective and professional manner; and
  • Performing other administrative tasks as required.

To succeed in this role you will to need:

  • To be highly organised;
  • Willing to embrace/experiment with new technology to deliver efficiency;
  • Proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Curious, with an enthusiasm to learn new things;
  • Can do attitude, team player, sense of humour;
  • An interest in marketing and business development.
