Your role

Learning underpins so much of what we do and the industry we work in, and as a result, we are now looking for an experienced Instructional Learning Designer to come on this journey with us on a freelance basis. You will be required to support our team in-line with our client commitments, however should be available for regular periods of up to 6 weeks.

As part of our wider Integrated Digital Solutions team, you will be joining one of Australia's largest legal technology teams where we have been recognised in the Australian Financial Review's Most Innovative Companies list for the past four years. Our people are technical experts, but they’re also trusted business advisers who think bigger, more broadly and more strategically. Together, we aim to play a leadership role in advancing the legal industry, ensuring our business processes support us to be modern, innovative and efficient, while exploring areas beyond traditional law that align with our core business and clients' needs.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, developing & updating off the shelf & bespoke learning modules for clients.
  • Collaborating with Partners & Lawyers in regards to module content.
  • Writing and shaping content, storyboards, scripts & workbooks to create e-learning modules.
  • Creating illustrations for modules along with Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
  • Working with the relevant teams to create various media (illustrations, SCORM packages) to support the learning objectives.
  • Ensuring renewals are managed efficiently in line with client needs.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills:

  • Experience in a similar role as an Instructional Learning Designer, preferably in a professional services organisation.
  • Demonstrated success of e-learning development, including a solid understanding of various software and systems e.g. Storyline Rise and Articulate 360, .
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ability to navigate a complex stakeholder environment and build relationships.
  • Highly consultative approach with exceptional stakeholder engagement, with an ability to coach and influence senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results driven attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills and an adaptable and proactive personality with a willingness to take ownership.
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a high performing team.
